I took my first yoga class in 2003 and began my Inner Power Yoga journey in 2017. In between that time I received a bachelor’s in modern dance and psychology, began my career as a massage therapist, became a certified GYROKINESIS trainer and most recently a certified Human Design coach. I have taught dance and movement classes to adults and children since 2005 and am thrilled to be merging my love of dance, energetics and somatic healing through the (em)BODY method.
Why do you teach & practice yoga?
I have always been fascinated with the mind/body/spirit connection as an essential part of overall health and well-being. I believe creative physical expression is a fundamental part of the human experience and has the potential to be both therapeutic and pleasurable. My personal movement practice grounds me, encourages my personal expression and brings me joy.
Who is your greatest yoga influence or inspiration?
I am so grateful for many incredible teachers across various mind/body/energy modalities, including: Julio Horvath, Domini Anne, R.R. Shakti, Amy Elizabeth Jaclyn Shaw & Robyn Savage.
What does it mean to be a "Mountain Soul?"
My relationship with the mountains is an opportunity to embody 3 of my highest personal values: courage, discernment and a free-spirited approach to life.
Describe your favorite day.
There are so many possibilities! It really depends where I am in my moon cycle because I love living in rhythm with the cyclical feminine. I love being with my family, adventure, play, deep conversations, charcuterie boards, being in harmony with nature and petting cats.
