It was 1997 when I first stepped into a Bikram yoga class in the Bay area, In the process, I fell in love with how the practice made me feel both mentally and physically. It wasn’t until 2001, after we had moved to Colorado, that I tried Vinyasa. That style of yoga was a game changer for me.
Why do you teach & practice yoga?
I love experiencing how yoga serves people at all stages of life. I love witnessing how yoga helps us develop self-acceptance and santosha (deep contentment). I enjoy watching my students transform from the inside out. I practice yoga for the mind, body, and breath balance. Feeling my center and connecting to my core brings me back to my truest self.
Who is your greatest yoga influence or inspiration?
Amy Baker & Gina Caputo
What does it mean to be a "Mountain Soul?"
Connecting to the energy and vibration of our community. Practicing and teaching in such a beautiful sanctuary surrounded by Mountains.
Describe your favorite day.
Waking up breathing each morning. Spending time with my family & friends and, of course, a perfect day always includes some form of yoga. Whether it be asana, breath work, self-care, or meditation.
